Winter 2021

Welcome New Members

The High Lonesome Chapter welcomes Christine Lichte and Paige Witek as our newest members. Christine has been with us for several months and is jumping right in to being a great additions to our chapter.  Paige may be familiar to you already.  She has worked with MRBO and done several presentations for our chapter.  Paige was presented her Honorary Member certification, pin and name badge at a Sedalia Casey's and she was quite pleased and thankful. We are proud to have you both as part of our Master Naturalist team.
Prescribed Burn at Turkey Foot Prairie
Because the conditions were not right on the 14th, the fire took place on the 17th. With that being a Tuesday some of our members who planned to go, were not able to. There were several people there, three from our chapter, Christine, Nancy and Roxanne. The weather was great and the fire lines worked just as they should. The fire went well, no big escapes or injuries. Much appreciation to Vernon Elsberry and CEA for inviting us to join them.
You are encouraged to check out our new webpage: hilonesome.missourimasternaturalist.org .  Even if you have already, revisit today. Check out the photos in the photo gallery on our home page!  Send any photos you have to Jerry Barnabee and he will get them added in.
Also, please get those hours turned in. And, please check your already posted hours to make sure they are correct.  If you have any questions or concerns, let Roxanne Stockdall, Time Keeper Extraordinaire, know.
